New Guide for Dairy Farmers in Difficult Times Available

The Farmers Legal Action Group (FLAG), a Minnesota advocacy group for producers, issued a new pamphlet called Tools for Dairy Farmers in Tough Economic Times. The 16 page brochure is a thoughtful and effective guide to economic emergency disaster assistance programs, credit access, loan restructuring issues, and bankruptcy concerns. The guide also deals with milk check assignments, and touches on reform in the dairy industry.
Producers are urged to stay abreast of these issues.

Domina Participates in US Supreme Court Submission

David A. Domina joined Washington DC lawyer Howard Shapiro, University of Wisconsin antitrust professor  Peter Carstensen, and Cohutta GA lawyer Cindy Johnson, is an effort to redress a wrong to a poultry producer in Tennessee.  The filing against Tyson Farms was made January 5, 2011.

Domina, Taylor File Final USDA/USDOJ Comments on Fair Market Rules

Economist C Robert Taylor and David A. Domina filed their Final Comments on the GIPSA proposed rules to reinvigorate the marketplace for cattle, hogs and poultry.  Domina and Taylor's prior work on Market Concentration has been cited in national and international publications.  They delivered  a rebuttal to the U S General Accounting Office report to the U S Congress a year ago. The GAO report was largely repudiated as a result.
